By Charles McCalister Posted on July 29, 2017 5 min read 0 0 102 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr Anthony Joshua defeated Wladimir Klitschko in an amazing 11th round stoppage bout held at the Wembley Stadium The Brit thus became the unified heavyweight boxing champion. Klitschko was the 19th knockout opponent of Joshua since he became a professional boxer in 2013. Anthony is now the WBA, IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion of the world. After the fight, Anthony is regarded by many as one of most popular professional boxers in the world. Just after Joshua knocked out Wladimir, former champion Tyson Fury called out to him on Twitter and asked for a shot at the heavyweight title. Fury Has Restarted His Training Fury is currently training once again in Marbella. He has not had a single professional fight since winning 3 world boxing titles and The Ring Magazine belt from Wladimir a year and a half ago. He had to vacate all his titles after he admitted to use of cocaine for treatment of depression and other mental health issues. Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Joshua, has stated that he is very keen on a fight between Anthony and Tyson, but admitted that it will not happen in the current year. As per the current situation of Fury, Hearn thought that the best chance of a Joshua-Fury fight will be as late as April 2018, at the Wembley. In addition to all things becoming right again for Fury, the fight is also dependent on a variety of other factors such as a successful defense of the title by Joshua in October or November. Can Fury Get Back Into Fighting Shape Eddie does not think that Fury has the time or the physical capacity to get back into proper fighting shape in the current year. He however stated that If Tyson was able to get fit then that would be another incredible achievement by the great fighter. The promoter promised that if all the things fall into place, and if a fight between Joshua and Fury is possible, then he and the team will do all that is possible to make the fight happen in 2017 itself. Hearn was all praise for Anthony after the Klitschko fight. He believes that the young man was responsible for changing the face of the great sport. He is also keenly awaiting all the future prospects and more stunning boxing bouts. All the heavyweight boxers in the world are now queuing up to get a shot at the titles held by Joshua. A majority of the bookmakers favor Kubrat Pulev and think that he will most likely be the next opponent. There are talks about fights against WBO holder Joseph Parker, or WBC champion Deontay Wilder, or even a rematch against Dillian Whyte. Hearn is sure that these fights have a chance, but a Tyson-Joshua fight is not going to happen in the near future.
